Some say creativity is a gifted ability while others believe that creativity can be unleashed or tapped whenever needed. But I truly believe what Napoleon Hill said in his best seller Think and Grow Rich “Human brains are blessed with an enormous ability to be creative but main problem is most of the people don’t know how to unleash their infinite reserves of creative intelligence.”
Newton came across gravitational energy when he was relaxing under a tree. Einstein came across theory of relativity when was relaxing. Thomas Edison faced problems when inventing light bulb. He tapped in his creative brains while he was relaxing on the beach.
From the above examples and many more we can surely observe that human brains tap into their creative brains when they are relaxed. The universe is filled with infinite possibilities we just have to learn how to tap into our creative brains.
Tips on how to unleash your Creativity
Break the pattern: Often times we are working on a problem and we fail to get the solution. Then after some time our brain provides us with the perfect solution. This usually happens when we take break from work and allow us to relax. Best way to get the solution is to stop what you are doing and engage into some other activity which is irrelevant to your work. In this way brain will feel relaxed and our sub conscious mind will give us the solution.
Find your Ahaa moment: In the cycle of 24 hours for every person there is some ahaa moment in which our creative mind functions at its best. Like for me aha moment is traveling. I get the most creative ideas when I travel. I keep a small notebook with me and note down the idea for future working and at the end of the day my notebook is filled with countless ideas for consideration.
Jot down your thoughts: The more senses you use while thinking over a problem the better. If you write your thoughts on a piece of paper then your creative brain will start its working.
Connect with Nature: William Shakespeare wrote most of his acclaimed material while he was taking a walk in the forest. Nature stimulates our brain and allows creative brain to unleash the infinite power of the brain. Allow yourself to be alone with the nature for some time and you will be astonished with the experience.
Allow yourself to be silent: Richard Branson (founder of Virgin.com) says “Every human can achieve what I have achieved if and only they allow silence in their life. Every morning for 30mins I close my eyes and stay still. I don’t think, I don’t judge, I just allow my brain to relax.”
When it comes to creativity silence is the most efficient strategy. Allow yourself to be silent for some time. Away from the crowd, away from the hassle of life, just close your eyes and be silent.
On the concluding note I just want to add one quote from Steve Jobs
“Creativity is just connecting things. When you ask creative people how they did something, they feel a little guilty because they didn’t really do it, they just saw something. It seemed obvious to them after a while. That’s because they were able to connect experiences they’ve had and synthesize new things. ”
