Happiness comes from within

13 Jun

delivering happinessI will be happy when I get a decent job. I will be happy when I buy that Blue Mercedes Benz. I will be happy when I get promoted on my next evaluation. I will surely feel happy if our company sales get doubled this year. These are common scenarios by which we all measure our level of happiness. But in reality none of these are source of true happiness.

Ask anyone doing a White collar job about how happy he is and his reply will be “not much.”  He might have the latest Mercedes Benz, he might have the most expensive home in town but when you talk to him you will notice that they are not really happy with what they are doing.

What is Happiness?

Happiness is not about material things or high reputation. Real Happiness comes from within. Only source of Happiness is following your heart, your passion, your ultimate gut feeling.

Read autobiographies from the top most successful people and you will find one thing in common; they all followed their heart… Whatever their circumstances were, one thing we can conclude is that all loved their work.

Are you Passionate about your work…

People wake up each day and do the same things again and again without experiencing happiness. If you are not waking up each day with a burning desire to rush for your work then you are still in search of your calling.

It is not the money that will make you happy (although money is important but not the only thing in the world), it is not your job title that will make you happy… it is moving towards your passion day by day that will make your Life valuable.

The only difference between you and me is that I get up every day and have a chance to do what I love to do, everyday. ~Warren Buffet

Don’t confuse Passion with Experience….

I am very good at making people laugh so does that mean I am willing to join circus, certainly not. If you are good at something that does not mean that you also are passionate about it. Don’t kill your passion for your experience. No matter what the circumstances are always pursue your passionate with consistency.

“First they will laugh at you, than they will ignore you, and then you will win.” ~Mahatma Gandhi

On the concluding note I just want to say that if you are not happy with what you are doing than for GOD sake leave it. Give yourself some time alone and ask yourself these two questions:

What is the one thing you are passionate about? What one great thing would you dare to dream if you knew you could not fail?

As Richard Branson says it well “Screw it, let’s do it!”

Yes, happiness is when the heart is satisfied. Called Tatmainnul Qulub and the heart of a Muslim is happiest when it does things to please Allah SWT. “Those who believe, and whose hearts find satisfaction in the remembrance of Allah. for without doubt in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find satisfaction – 13:28
