Life is Beyond Degree

Life is Beyond Degree

Our parents set limited goals for us. This is the mind set, My kid will complete his education, get a degree, go for a job and finally get married. This is the overall goal set by our parents for us. But Life is Beyond Degree. Life is more than just getting a good grade or simply getting a degree for the sake of society. Degree is just a piece of paper that helps you to show off to your relatives. But other than that life is beyond degree.

Degree will help you to face problems in your life; degree will open the first door in your practical life. Your talent will open the second but it’s your attitude that will open rest of the doors. Now there is a difference between talent and attitude. Talent is your inborn ability while attitude is what you do with your talent. Let me elaborate with an example. Saeed Anwar (famous Pakistani cricketer) was born talented but as “Practice makes man perfect”. He practiced hard. 55 days of consistent practice. He practice for 2 hours, play a game, practice for 2 hours then play a game. Now this is consistency towards your goal. If you have a goal in life you have to make gradual increments on daily basics to achieve your goal.

20 Ways to Positively Transform Your Life Through Repetition

20 Ways to Positively Transform Your Life Through Repetition

Add the following practices into your regular daily schedule for remarkable results!

1. While getting ready for work: Have something positive playing in the background. Pump yourself up by talking to yourself in ways that elevate your consciousness and set the tone for the day; “Today I have a great day. I am intelligent and wise in all that I do. I attract great opportunities for success and I am a blessing to others.”

2. Before you walk out the door, get in the habit of affirming, “Everywhere I go today I am surrounded by the blessings of Allah Subhan wa tala, protected and blessed. I attract great opportunities for success.”

3. Driving the kids to school: Take time to talk to them in positive ways, affirming the good for the day. Encourage them to choose to see the best. Look for beauty along the way. With small children in the car, play games looking for all the beautiful things they can see. (It elevates everyone!)

4. Driving home from work: Listen to positive, inspirational material, read books, etc. Affirm: “I ride with safety, this train is taking me to even greater success; everywhere I go something great is happening. Where ever I am, all is well.”

5. Stopping at stop signs or lights: Say to yourself, “I stop doing what no longer serves me.” With green lights say, “I move forward in life with success and joy.”

In Search of Happiness

In Search of Happiness

Some pursue happiness, others create it. Happiness itself is nothing unless we give it a meaning. Everyone is in search of Happiness but only few find it before they die. As the saying goes ‘When you were born, you cried and the world rejoiced. Live your life so that when you die, the world cries and you rejoice.’ Happiness is perceived by everyone in their own way. Some find happiness in travelling, others find it in social work and some like me find it in reading books, tons of them.

10 Things they should have taught me in high school

I used to think that high school education is enough to face most of the problems in Life but to be honest I was damn wrong. Life starts when we exit from high school and take a turn towards our dream. It is then we realize that school education is mostly a myth. What we learn in school is education but in Life what matters more is knowledge. Education is that Tomato is a fruit but knowledge is not putting it in fruit salad.

To be honest in school they teach you to read and write but they rarely teach you how to think, how to be more creative and how to treat people.

I am honored to share this with my readers. As Chris Guillebeau author of “The $100 Startup” says “Best service I can do is to share my message so people can learn and grow form it.”

No Emotions Attached

I was having a conversation with my colleague yesterday on SMS which ended up in an egoistic manner. The reason behind was eruption of emotions on an unnecessary manner. We, as humans by nature are full of emotions. We like to react on things rather than just respond. We like to assume things and add our own flavor to the conversation which turns out to be a disaster.

emotions
Emotions do play a vital role in our relationship building and this incident made me think, why don’t we control our emotions when we know that reacting instantly will harm us? It’s rightly said “Don’t make decision when you’re angry and don’t promise anything when you’re extremely happy.” Most of us let our emotions rule our life. Yes, it is good to follow emotions most of the time but in relationships if you really want to flourish your relationships it is advised that there should be no emotions attached. Now this doesn’t mean that you switch off all your emotions, what I mean to say is don’t go with angry emotions. Whenever you feel angry in your conversation try to relax and brush off that anger.

angryIt is so easy to go with the flow and be angry on things which you don’t agree but it takes guts to listen hard, without uttering a word when you feel like killing the other person. But trust me best is to suppress the rage. Take a deep breath and rather than reacting try to respond. It makes a huge difference when we stop reacting and start responding. When we take a second to allow us to be in the moment and respond then we turn the whole conversation upside down.

These type of conversations happen every single day and most of the time we respond to them emotionally but sometimes this cost us huge payoff. So my point is, from now onwards try to relax and respond, try to keep the conversation healthy, try to be polite, and try not to hurt other person but make sure you deliver your point in a friendly manner.
