Salah – A way to connect with Allah

Image courtesy by: http://islamgreatreligion.files.wordpress.comIn every religion there is a spiritual way to connect with GOD. In Islam Muslims connect to Allah by Salah or Salat (an Arabic word which means prayer). As a Muslim alhumdulilaah I started Salah from the age of 12 (age in which it’s obligatory on every Muslim to offer Salah). In the beginning I just started it because my mother taught me to offer Salah or else Allah will drive me in hell. At that time I was a kid so I use to pray by fear not by heart. I also read the Holy Quran in which it’s mentioned that if you don’t pray you’ll be sent to hell to be burned in fire (fire which is stronger than fire here in the world).

Why Bad Things Happen to Good People?

Why Bad Things Happen to Good People?

We all believe that whatever happen, happens for a reason but most of us fail to act accordingly. When we succeed we take the crown ourself but when we fail, we blame it on others. This is the common human nature. To run away from problems and to enjoy the victory. But as the saying goes “A ship in port is safe, but that’s not what ships are built for.” Whenever bad things happen to good people we assume that Allah is being unfair to them. But on the contrary its entirely different. Problems come in various forms not to break us but to make us stronger. As the Quran say:

“Verily, After Hardship Comes Ease.” (Qur’an 31:17)

We might not realize at the moment but after some time we learn that problem made us stronger. Now the question arises Why Bad Things Happen to Good People? And answer is Allah is two things. First Allah love us more than any other person in the world. And Allah want whats best for us. If we are being fair in our affairs and still suffering from things than only reason is Allah is redirecting us to something better. And second reason is Allah is testing us to raising our ranks. When we start moving away from Allah so Allah give us hardships to turn us back. And this is beauty of being a Muslim. You are redirected in such a beautiful manner.

20 Ways to Positively Transform Your Life Through Repetition

20 Ways to Positively Transform Your Life Through Repetition

Add the following practices into your regular daily schedule for remarkable results!

1. While getting ready for work: Have something positive playing in the background. Pump yourself up by talking to yourself in ways that elevate your consciousness and set the tone for the day; “Today I have a great day. I am intelligent and wise in all that I do. I attract great opportunities for success and I am a blessing to others.”

2. Before you walk out the door, get in the habit of affirming, “Everywhere I go today I am surrounded by the blessings of Allah Subhan wa tala, protected and blessed. I attract great opportunities for success.”

3. Driving the kids to school: Take time to talk to them in positive ways, affirming the good for the day. Encourage them to choose to see the best. Look for beauty along the way. With small children in the car, play games looking for all the beautiful things they can see. (It elevates everyone!)

4. Driving home from work: Listen to positive, inspirational material, read books, etc. Affirm: “I ride with safety, this train is taking me to even greater success; everywhere I go something great is happening. Where ever I am, all is well.”

5. Stopping at stop signs or lights: Say to yourself, “I stop doing what no longer serves me.” With green lights say, “I move forward in life with success and joy.”

The Readers Club | Pakistan’s first Online Book Rental Service

Call me at night and you might go to a voice mail. Call me in the early morning and you will again go to voice mail. Not because I am the president or rude but because I might be reading. Reading, yes the only thing that keeps me going, that drives my nerves. Reading is a habit which I inducted from my father. He used to bring books for me when I was a child. And now this habit transformed into an obsession. As Robin Sharma said “Cut down your expenses on clothes, cut them on your food but never cut down on your books.” I literally took this advice to the heart. Reading for me is an obsession. When I can afford I usually buy books from Liberty books but sometimes I buy second hand books too which are equally beneficial. Now this all was I came across thereadersclub.com. Now the dynamics really changed. Started by Usman Siddiqui and Jawad Yousuf this website is like my dream come true.

In Search of Happiness

In Search of Happiness

Some pursue happiness, others create it. Happiness itself is nothing unless we give it a meaning. Everyone is in search of Happiness but only few find it before they die. As the saying goes ‘When you were born, you cried and the world rejoiced. Live your life so that when you die, the world cries and you rejoice.’ Happiness is perceived by everyone in their own way. Some find happiness in travelling, others find it in social work and some like me find it in reading books, tons of them.

10 Things they should have taught me in high school

I used to think that high school education is enough to face most of the problems in Life but to be honest I was damn wrong. Life starts when we exit from high school and take a turn towards our dream. It is then we realize that school education is mostly a myth. What we learn in school is education but in Life what matters more is knowledge. Education is that Tomato is a fruit but knowledge is not putting it in fruit salad.

To be honest in school they teach you to read and write but they rarely teach you how to think, how to be more creative and how to treat people.

I am honored to share this with my readers. As Chris Guillebeau author of “The $100 Startup” says “Best service I can do is to share my message so people can learn and grow form it.”
